Pierre is a Principal Engineer and Senior Manager at Ofinno. He joined Ofinno in April 2023 and, together with his team, is currently involved in developing the next generation of video codecs within the joint MPEG and ITU-T JVET group. During his career, Pierre has successfully participated in the design of the previous HEVC and VVC codecs. HEVC is now deployed in many high-quality digital video services. VVC enables the coding of versatile content and is currently being deployed in the industry. Pierre has also actively contributed to the advent of high dynamic range (HDR) technologies and immersive content technologies (V-PCC).
