Ofinno’s work shapes the standards behind the world’s wireless and media technologies. We believe that impact should extend beyond the lab. Through our annual donation program and scholarship initiatives, we put company resources behind the causes and communities our team cares about most.
Many forms of service
Through hands-on community projects and advisory positions, we volunteer our time. Schools, universities, and government (e.g. USPTO) benefit from the free technology training we provide. And we annually commit a portion of our revenue to support grants, donations or other giving. We realize that, compared to the need, our commitment can seem inconsequential; yet we seek to inspire other businesses to adopt the Ofinno mindset of service and community involvement. These philanthropic endeavors are the perfect analog to the way our innovations, brought to life within the products of our clients, enrich the world.

Employee DOnation Program
Every inventor, every employee — a chance to give back
Each year, Ofinno allocates company funds so every full-time employee can direct a donation to the nonprofit of their choice. Inventors receive a donation amount tied to their patent filings; all other employees receive a fixed allocation. Since launching the program, Ofinno has donated over a hundred thousand dollars to more than 50 charitable organizations — from local community groups to global causes.
Scholarships & Research
Investing in the next generation of innovators
Beyond employee-directed giving, Ofinno dedicates a significant share of its annual donation funds to programs that advance STEM education and wireless research. Ofinno has established the Ofinno Endowed Scholarship at George Mason University and the Ofinno Innovation Scholarships through College Access Fairfax — both supporting students pursuing careers in science and engineering. Ofinno is also an industry member of WISPER, an NSF-funded Industry-University Research Center led by Virginia Tech, George Mason University, and the University of Arizona that brings together academic and industry partners to advance next-generation wireless and networking technologies.
