Patent Portfolio Sales
Standard essential patents built by the researchers shaping the standards
Acquire high-quality SEPs developed at the cutting edge of cellular, Wi-Fi, and media compression
Ofinno’s researchers are among the most active contributors to 3GPP, IEEE 802.11, and MPEG/JVET. The patent families we develop come directly from that standards work — grounded in the technical contributions that shape the specifications companies implement worldwide. When you acquire patents from Ofinno, you’re acquiring assets with a clear link between the invention, the standard, and the products that rely on it.
How it works
A transparent process from first look to closing
Our sales process begins with your initial appraisal of our portfolio of provided asset listings. If ready to proceed, and after putting an NDA in place, you can perform in-depth due diligence on Ofinno’s portfolio with the aid of Ofinno’s comprehensive SEP family analysis documents, which include an overview of the relevant technology, patent family tree, standard claim chart mapping, and more. Ofinno’s legal and technical teams are also available throughout your review to answer questions.
Next, you can select one or more patent families for purchase and request pricing information. Ofinno will provide guidance with an itemized quote for each patent family. Lastly, we will work together to put a patent purchase agreement in place for your selected sales units. Ofinno also offers optional consulting services to provide you with continued support from our technical experts.
