At Ofinno, Govind focuses his research on 5G and 6G Channel State Information (CSI) topics, including the design and implementation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) techniques in 3GPP RAN1. Prior to joining Ofinno, he served as a Senior Research Specialist in Nokia’s Technology Standards group, where he led 6G radio research centered on RAN1 AI/ML applications for 6G CSI and authored technical standards contributions for 3GPP. His background also includes research roles and engineering internships at Intel, Nokia Bell Labs, and the Indian Institute of Science. He earned his PhD and MS degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California San Diego, and holds a BTech from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka. Outside of work, Govind enjoys exploring new travel destinations, cycling local trails, and discovering new restaurants and cuisines.
