Gautham’s research focuses on 5G/6G terrestrial and non-terrestrial networks, as well as applying AI/ML to optimize wireless communication systems. Prior to Ofinno, he served as an industrial postdoctoral research fellow at The University of British Columbia in partnership with Sierra Wireless.
A prolific innovator, Gautham is a named inventor on hundreds of granted patents and pending patent applications. He has authored dozens of peer-reviewed papers in IEEE journals, conferences, and workshops—earning multiple Best Paper awards. Active in the global research community, he has served on technical program committees for major IEEE conferences and reviewed more than 100 journal and conference submissions.
He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The University of British Columbia and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
