Harish K. Dureppagari received his Bachelors degree in electronics and communication engineering from Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge Technologies (RGUKT), India, in 2014, and his Masters degree in electrical engineering from IIT Hyderabad, India, in 2016. Since Fall 2022, he has been pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA, USA. As part of his PhD, he focuses on advancing localization techniques for 5G and 6G networks, with a particular emphasis on Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN). His research primarily revolves around designing robust positioning algorithms, developing comprehensive evaluation frameworks, and conducting thorough performance analyses leveraging information inequalities.
Harish has held summer internship positions at Nokia, IL, USA, in Summer 2023; and Qualcomm, San Diego, CA, USA, in Summer 2024 and 2025. Before his Ph.D. studies, he worked as a Lead Engineer at WiSig Networks Pvt. Ltd., India, where he contributed to the design of beamforming and scheduling algorithms for 4G/5G Massive MIMO systems and developed a 3GPP-compliant system-level simulator for validating the designed frameworks. His research interests include wireless communications, localization, and massive MIMO.
