Jia Lu

Jia’s experience spans patent litigation, prosecution, post-grant proceedings, licensing, and appellate practice. Prior to joining Ofinno, she represented clients in patent disputes in U.S. district courts, before the U.S. International Trade Commission, and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, involving a broad range of technologies and intellectual property issues. Her practice also included strategic counseling on patent enforcement, licensing, and portfolio management.

Earlier in her career, Jia served as a law clerk to the Honorable Kara F. Stoll at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit and as a patent examiner at the USPTO. She also worked on domestic and international intellectual property policy matters at the USPTO. Jia earned her B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and her J.D. from Georgetown University.
