Médéric Blestel is a Senior Video Standard Researcher within Ofinno. He joined the Ofinno Video compression team based in Rennes (France) in 2023.
As an experienced leader, his research interests focus on various aspects of image and video processing research.
Médéric has been heavily involved in various encoding projects and now mainly focuses on new technical trends in the video compression area, contributing to the future video standard within the JVET group.
Before Ofinno, Médéric contributed to improving Mekiakind’s code library regarding MPEG-4 AVC, HEVC, and VVC codecs.
Mederic received his Master of Science degree from the INSA of Rennes in 2006.
