Ziru focuses on next-generation Wi-Fi technologies and IEEE 802.11 standardization. He actively contributes to IEEE 802.11 discussions regarding advanced PHY/MAC design and future wireless architectures.
His research interests include next-generation Wi-Fi systems, AI- and generative AI-assisted MAC/PHY design, cross-layer optimization, and intelligent wireless networking. He is particularly interested in integrating machine learning techniques into protocol design to enhance system efficiency, robustness, and adaptability.
Prior to joining Ofinno, Ziru held positions and internships at Neusoft America, INFI US, Sony, NXP, and Futurewei, gaining extensive industry experience in AI, wireless systems, and embedded platforms. He has authored and co-authored multiple journal and conference publications and holds several granted and pending patents. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology (TVT), IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (TWC), IEEE Transactions on Communications (TCOM) and etc, and has served as a Technical Program Committee (TPC) member for various IEEE international conferences.
