DongYeon focuses on research and development of 5G/6G system architecture and procedures, acting as a delegate in 3GPP SA and CT working groups at Ofinno. She is the author of numerous 3GPP contributions that have advanced various 5G features, with several reflected in specifications.
Prior to joining Ofinno, she spent 13 years at Samsung Electronics as a standardization expert, acting as a delegate in MPEG and 3GPP SA2. During this time, she contributed to global projects such as UHD Alliance, MPEG MMT, MPEG 3DG, Light Field Media Processing, and 3GPP SA2.
DongYeon has worked as both a delegate and a lead inventor, holding multiple granted U.S. patents in areas including 5G satellite communications, IMS-based real-time communications, network slicing, and policy control. With extensive experience collaborating with global industry leaders from the U.S., Europe, and Asia, she is pursuing technical innovations in 6G at Ofinno.
