Dr. Javier Perez-Ramirez is a Senior Technical Staff member at OFINNO, where he is actively contributing to the development of the IEEE 802.11bn and IEEE 802.11bq standards. He spearheads R&D efforts that have resulted in numerous patents in next-generation wireless technologies. Previously at Intel Labs, Dr. Perez-Ramirez made significant technical contributions to wireless communications. He was a key contributor in the development of wireless time-sensitive networking technologies. He also developed wireless digital twin software featuring XR technology enabled by wireless time-sensitive networking, evaluated new MAC protocols for future Wi-Fi standards , and led the adoption of Intel intellectual property in the IEEE 802.15.7 standard for visible light communications. Dr. Perez-Ramirez holds an Executive MBA from the Quantic School of Business and Technology and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from New Mexico State University. His work has been recognized with multiple accolades, including IEEE INDIN 2021 Best Paper Award and an IEEE INFOCOM 2018 Best Demo Award.
