Willis manages the development and prosecution of Ofinno’s patent portfolios in video compression technologies, including enhanced compression beyond VVC, geometry-based point cloud compression (GPCC), and video-based dynamic mesh coding (VDMC).
Before joining Ofinno, he worked at a leading IP boutique firm and a global IP litigation powerhouse, handling patent preparation and prosecution in computer-related technologies, as well as inter partes review and other litigation matters involving video compression, wireless network standards, and computer power management.
Willis holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a double major in Engineering and Public Policy, and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
