Ofinno, LLC, an innovator of wireless communications technologies, announced the filing of its one-thousandth patent application, European Patent Application No. 18733392.7 titled “Packet Duplication Control.”

This 5G Standard Essential technology was jointly invented by Ofinno researchers Alireza Babaei, PhD., Esmael Dinan, PhD., Kyungmin Park, PhD., and Hyoungsuk Jeon, PhD. Controlling Packet Duplication enhances Ultra-Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC) for applications related to autonomous driving, factory automation, remote surgery, and Internet of Things (IoT). “We are very proud to have reached this milestone,” said Esmael Dinan, CEO and President at Ofinno. “Standard Essential patents like this solve difficult technological issues faced by the wireless industry. We look forward to making continued contributions to the development of future wireless technologies.”

“This patent application is representative of the numerous patented technologies developed at Ofinno by our growing teams of expert researchers.
