Marketing Director

Earlier this month, Ofinno Chief Intellectual Property Officer, Kavon Nasabzadeh, and Ofinno Senior IP Counsel and RAN Team Portfolio Manager, Jake Mangan, attended IAM’s annual IPBC Global conference in Chicago, representing Ofinno as Networking Sponsor. Every year, IPBC Global brings together the global IP market’s elite players and deal makers in one place, and the 2022 conference was no different.

While the speaking lineup included over 60 of the industry’s leading experts on licensing and patent transactions, the keynote speaker was Ericsson’s Vice President and Head of Research, Magnus Frodigh, PhD. Dr. Frodigh has spent his career focusing on 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G technologies, and his speech focused on current deployment of 5G networks and advances to come in 6G.

In addition to the panel discussions, the real highlights of the two-day conference were the numerous networking opportunities. Kavon and Jake spent much of the conference meeting new and existing contacts and sharing insights into how Ofinno is developing some of the industry’s highest quality patents for 5G, next-generation Wi-Fi, and video compression technologies and partnering with operating companies to boost their patent portfolios.
